Huawei new Watch 4 series with HarmonyOS 4.2
In order to beta test HarmonyOS 4.2, Huawei has begun enlisting Watch 4 series smartwatch customers in China. Six thousand individuals will be chosen to participate in this limited beta, ostensibly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Huawei has already revealed some of the features of the HarmonyOS 4.2 software. These include an update to the previous utility, Health Glance version 2.0, and new watch faces. In addition to monitoring thirteen biometrics instead of 10, version 2.0 adds additional capabilities for hyperglycemia risk assessment, arrhythmia analysis, and sleep apnea identification.
Additionally, the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) car key will be compatible with the Huawei Watch 4 Pro, giving you a another method to use the wearable to open your vehicle. The recently released Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration smartwatch in China has all of these functions.
Huawei is anticipated to begin a public testing phase following the conclusion of this beta testing, which will enable a greater number of users to test the software.
It is unknown when Huawei will make HarmonyOS 4.2 available to all Watch 4 series smartwatch owners. In other developments, the March 2024 security patch was added to the Huawei Watch 4 Pro a few weeks ago when it received an update to version 4.0.0.230.
