Gionee S6 with 3GB RAM and USB-Type C port launched for Rs. 19,999 - Reupdated

Gionee has launched the Gionee S6 smartphone in India. It features a 6.9mm slim full metal unibody designed body. It has USB Type-C port and a 5.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED dispay with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Octa-Core MediaTek MT653 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz powers the device coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo UI 3.1 runs on top of it. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is Hybrid Dual SIM support with 4G LTE, WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and GPS. It packs a 3150 mAh battery, weight with battery is 148g.

The Gionee S6 comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver colors and is exclusively from Flipkart.com priced at Rs. 19,999.

OPPO to invest Rs. 100 Cr to start Smartphone manufacturing in India

OPPO is latest Smartphone maker to join the ‘Make in India’ initiative, announced by P.M. Modi to kickstart Smartphone manufacturing in India.
OPPO has announced that it will invest Rs. 100 Crore to Start its own manufacturing assembly in India by August, 2016.

OPPO Global VP and President of OPPO India, Sky Li said;

“We have long term plan for India, We will invest Rs. 100 crore to kickstart our mobile manufacturing unit by August this year. He further explained that OPPO has already started its mobile handset production in India at the Foxconn’s plant. He said that the company is looking at producing 10 million handset units per year in India at its own plant and continue its relationship with Foxconn as well. The company had announced last year in May that it is planning to setup an assembly plant in the country.”

Just yesterday the company launched two new smartphones in India the OPPO F1 and F1 plus.
Micromax, Motorola, Asus, Sony, Vivo, LG and Lenovo have also announced their plans for manufacturing smartphones in India

Black Shark 3 With 7.1 inch QHD+ 90Hz Display & Snapdragon 865 With 12GB RAM Announced - Reupdated

BlackShark the Xiaomi’s Subsidiary company has just announced the Black Shark 3 Pro and Black Shark smartphones in china, The Blackshark 3 comes with a 6.67 inch Full HD+ display whereas the Black Shark 3 Pro has 7.1 inch Quad Hd+ display. Both these displays have 90Hz Refresh rate and 270Hz Sampling rate which is in itself is a world record. Both Phone’s displays are also HDR 10+ certified and has 500 nits+ brightness.

Both models are powered by same Snapdragon 865 CPU based on Qualcomm’s new 7nm technology coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. In storage compartment these smartphones come with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB/256GB (UFS 3.0) internal storage respectively.

In camera part these phones are powered by 64MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, 13MP 120° ultra wide sensor with f/2.25 sensor, 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Also there is an in display optical fingerprint sensor.

The phone has large gaming triggers with 1.5mm key stroke, 1 million key lifespan, 300,000 lifting span, features independent lifting control with zero delay and accidental touch prevention so it doesn’t get activated when you are not gaming since it has self-locking feature to ensure ultra-high stability of the buttons and has drop recovery, says the company.

Black Shark 3 is priced at $502 for 8GB variant and $550 for 12GB with 128GB storage variant. whereas the 12GB with 256GB storage variant is priced at $574.

Now coming to the pricing of Black Shark 3 Pro, the base variant which has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage retails at $674 whereas 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is priced at $718. These smartphones will go on sale in china from 10th March and there is no word about its availability in India.
